New Baby

Shanes best man, and best friend since he had grown up just welcomed another baby to their family! Sarah Faith Williamson. She is so precious! 6 lbs, 4 oz, 19 and 3/4 inches long, lots of dark hair. She was so cute all curled up since she was only born less than 48 hours ago. We took them dinner tonight. Look how cute their family is, we love them!
Big brother Jacob and his little sister Sarah

The whole Williamson clan... Sarah, Ali, Jacob, and Jason.

So I was a little unsure about my job when I made my last post. All that I can say is that I absolutely love love love it!!!!!! So much in fact that I am going to have a really hard time when it comes time for me to go back to school. I'm thinking that working part time will be something that I want to do this time, not what I have to do. Let me just tell you why...

1. Sandi, Cavalier's controller is honestly the sweetest most proper lady that you will ever meet! She has been so kind to me.

2. The people here treat me like they have been walking in a desert for a month and I am the first water they have seen. Honestly they talk to me and treat me like a queen.

3. I got to go up and fly in this

which could turn out to be a frequent occurance.

4. Shane came to bring some Birthday cake for Sandi and we were able to sit in this...

a private jet... no worries, it only costs 3 MILLION dollars.

5. To start things off this morning shortly after I got to work the President of Cavalier put a small box and a card with my name on my desk...These are just a few examples of why I love my job. It's definitely a keeper :)

Love it or Hate it

My new job: Do I love it or hate it... I can't decide. So I have completed 2.5 days of work and I can't wrap my head around whether it's my job that I dislike, or the freedom that I was so rapidly raped from! Yes I use that word because that is what it feels like. I have done the math and with me working 4 months = $10,000 for our bank account. Seems like a pretty good deal right? Well, I had so much freedom and dreamed of the summer when Shane and I would go on vacation and not have to worry about taking the time off. Now it is all about me at my job. If I'm not there... NO ONE is there to do it.
What is this new job you ask? Well I am a receptionist for 2 aviation companies (helicoptors and airplanes). How did I end up with something like this??? That's what you get for being LDS, American living in Canada, and being somewhat of a pushover. Yeah, through a "family friend". Here is the downside to my job.... I work 8-5 with a 30 minute lunch break. You think wait... that's 8.5 hours a day... yep, that's right, and the worst part about it is that I don't really get a lunch break. I get to sit at my desk and eat. I am going to talk about that when I "negotiate" my contract. I'm hoping to be able to leave on fridays at 3 or something cool like that since I will have made up the time during the week. That way I can go and see my lovely friends... Dr. Robertson/ Dr. Evans for my invisalign, and Dr. MacLean for my psycho mind who thinks it needs to worry all the time and makes my nerves all jumbled! He has helped me tremendously and that is the one thing that I am most sad about not having a very flexible schedule.
So that part is talking about the Red Eagle Aviation part of it. What the company actually does is train people who have $15,000 to drop to learn how to become helicoptor pilots. If they want to get paid to fly a helicoptor it is $50,000. Yeah, I'd rather have a brand new car and a sweet vacation! The other half is for Cavalier aviation. I absolutely LOVE this company. The President and Controller are 2 of the kindest people I have ever met. They are so sweet to me, not to mention the guys who work in the hanger and are back and forth all day. It will be nice once Red Eagle is all nailed down and my "guts/ brain" can feel a bit better about things. I wonder if it is the "wrong"thing for me to be doing. If it's because it is new and I'm not used to it, or if it's the spirit telling me I probably shouldn't. We will see. I keep telling myself that I am in charge of my thoughts, feelings, what I want to do with my life, and that I don't owe anyone anything!
Let me know if you think what I am doing is right or crazy.

St. George

So I have been working on losing weight and getting into shape. I had canceled the contract to my gym last September and was happy when the memberships went back on sale in January. I signed up and was really happy to find that I absolutely love Zumba. It was just what I needed to get back to the gym, something fun that burned a lot of calories. I have continued to get into it and am enjoying the benefits of the work.

So the gym is not the only thing that is helping me lose weight. I have been doing weight watchers as well. I love this approach because I can eat whatever I want, just in portions that go along with my point values. Today I packed up portions of the crackers and treast that I like, and put the points in the outside of the plastic bag that I put them in. I have had a hard time sticking to my points lately and am determined to get back on track. My goal is to be down 25 pounds from my start point by my brother-in-laws wedding weekend in Vancouver on the BC coast when I wear this..

So the reason that I titled this post St. George isn't because my grandparents are building a house down there... (YAY) but because I have wanted to run this..

I have been wanting to run a marathon for years and years. I have been planning to start running along with going to the gym. I looked up the time span for training and it takes about 6 months. That is just in time for the St. George marathon. I am considering running this. We will have to see how the training goes over the next couple of weeks before registration is finished... Let me know what you think...
